When can I go?
The AYAD Program sends volunteers overseas in three intakes each year. The three intakes mobilise in February/March, June and September/October of each year.
All AYADs must attend the compulsory Pre-departure Training in Australia before going on assignment and are mobilised in country groups. That means that you and the other AYADs going to the same country all depart Australia and arrive in-country together.
When you arrive in the country of your assignment you will be met by your In Country Manager (ICM) who will take you and your fellow AYADs through an In Country Orientation to prepare you for the specific contexts of life in your new home before you separate and head to your assignments.
