*AYAD Program operations in Sri Lanka have been suspended from February 2008 due to concerns about the security situation. We expect the Program to remain suspended there for the foreseeable future, including Intake 22 (July 2008) and Intake 23 (September 2008).
East Timor:
The AYAD Program is proceeding with plans to re-commence operations in East Timor in July 2008 (Intake 22). The current security situation is been closely monitored and a final desicion to re-commence operations will be made following a comprehensive security review and consultation with program stakeholders (including DFAT) in May-June 2008. Applicants for assignments in East Timor should be aware that the Program may be suspended and their assignments withdrawn at any point at the discretion of the AYAD Program.
